East Bengal returned to the top of the I-League 6 table coming from behind to quell youngsters from Pailan Arrows but their joy would be tempered by Manandeep Singh missing next week's Kolkata derby after a red card.

East Bengal now have 39 points from 19 rounds, one more than Churchill Brothers who though have a game in hand. This is the first time East Bengal beat a team in the both legs. They won the first leg 3-0.

Substitute striker Manandeep was shown the red card for retaliating and pushing Arrows's Pranay Haldar during a corner-kick won by East Bengal.
