Legendary former Real Madrid player and coach Luis Molowny has died age 84.
Molowny played for Real Madrid for 10 seasons in the 1940s and 1950s, winning two league titles, one European Cup and one Copa del Rey. He also coached the team in the 1970s and 1980s, winning the league three times, the UEFA Cup twice and the Copa del Rey twice. He died on Friday night in his native Canary Islands, Real Madrid's Web site said.

The Tenerife-born Molowny played on the right wing for Madrid, his time there coinciding with the great Alfredo di Stefano.
