Playing the final of the tournament at the Noida Stadium last week, the girl claimed she felt humiliated and harassed by the organisers.

When contacted, the All India Tennis Association (AITA) said they had sought clarification on the matter.

"I know nothing about the incident. But after receiving instructions from the AITA, I have sought a clarification from the authorities concerned," UPTA secretary, CP Kackar, told HT. "We will initiate strict action against the officials, if the charges are proved."

The complainant has claimed that the organisers kept changing the time of the final to suit the opponent. It was also claimed that the organisers replaced the regular umpire and kept targetting the player in question with repeated wrong calls. Their behaviour reduced the complainant to tears, after which she was unable to continue the match.

He added that a "clarification report" would be submitted to the UPTA and AITA soon.
