WWE SummerSlam 2026 Highlights, Night 1: In a true passing of the torch moment, Oba Femi stunned Brock Lesnar inside the Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam 2026. After the match had ended, Brock himself raised Oba's hands, declaring him the future of the WWE. Night 1 of SummerSlam 2026 also saw Randy Orton making a surprise return to cost Cody Rhodes the Undisputed WWE Championship match against CM Punk. Randy hit Rhodes with an RKO, and it was enough for Punk to capitalise and seal the win for himself.

Earlier, Liv Morgan defended her Women's World Championship, defeating Iyo Sky, while Gunther outclassed SmackDown GM Nick Aldis in the latter's first in-ring appearance in WWE.
