In the notice, the actress has objected to the article published on August 8 titled "Fazlu arrest lands Shilpa in trouble".

According to the article, Delhi Police is likely to quiz actress Shilpa and her parents for allegedly asking gangster Fazl-ur-Rehman to make extortion calls to a Surat businessman, the owner of Parag Saris.

Shilpa says the article has not only caused mental trauma but has tarnished her reputation as well. The actress also alleges that the derogatory and defamatory news item was used for free publicity of the newspaper.

Shilpa has asked for an unconditional apology and has threatened to claim damages from the newspaper if they do not rectify the mistake.

Earlier, Pretty Zinta had filed a defamation case against Mid-Day for publishing the transcript of the Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai false taped conversation.
