Udit, wife ready to fight back!

Udit Narayan and his wife Deepa Narayan Jha were a happily married couple untill recently when life turned topsy-turvy for them.

On April 22, when the couple was in Bihar to attend a marriage function, a lady named Ranjana Narayan, claimed that she is Bollywood singer Udit Narayan's "first and real wife". She even met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar seeking marital justice!

So, what's the truth? The ace singer clears the air for HTTabloid.

"I don't even know who she is! If anyone has any proof, there is no need to go through the media. Come to the court and we will settle it there," explains Udit.

He further says, "Back in 2004, I was receiving threatening calls and on request I was given special protection. I think the same thing is continuing in this form and I suspect some people who are jealous of me are conspiring against me and are looking at blackmailing me."

While Udit is hell-bent upon proving his innocence, his 'first wife' has moved Bihar Women's Commission that has decided to issue a notice to the Bollywood celebrity after registering a case of breach of marriage solemnized in 1984.

"With our investigations that we have done at our end, this woman's family background reveals that her brother murdered somebody and was in the prison for a few years! Where was she for so many years, why didn't she appear earlier?" she questions.

There's nothing that can create a rift between the couple as they comment in unison on the issue: "With the help of computers a lot can be done with photographs and as far legal documents go, they are all fudged."

Well, only time will tell who is being true and who is not!
