Fourth seed Simona Halep, the highest-ranked player left in the tournament, reached the French Open last 16 on Saturday with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Spain's Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor.
Halep will face either 15th seeded American Sloane Stephens or Russia's Ekaterina Makarova, the 22nd seed, for a place in the quarter-finals.
