Merciless Davenport thrashes Jackson
Lindsay Davenport demolished fellow American Jamea Jackson to reach the Wimbledon third round on Wednesday.
Lindsay Davenport showed little mercy as she demolished fellow American Jamea Jackson 6-0 6-3 to reach the Wimbledon third round on Wednesday.

The top seed battered 18-year-old qualifier Jackson with her thundering groundstrokes to snare the first set in 17 scorching minutes.
The teenager had the audacity to break the 1999 champion early in the second but Davenport quickly reasserted her authority.
Pounding away from the baseline, the world number one broke Jackson for the third time in the set and booked her place in the last 32 against Russian 30th seed Dinara Safina.
"I thought I started off really well. Was up 6-0 1-0 very quickly," said Davenport, who has so far dropped only five games in total in her two matches.
"I probably played a little bit better in the first round, more clean throughout the match. But both matches have gone the way I would like them to go, so I've got to keep that in mind."
Although Davenport has barely had to break sweat so far, the three-times grand slam winner passage through the rest of the tournament is unlikely to be as smooth.
A potential fourth-round showdown with 15th seed Kim Clijsters awaits if they both win on Friday and the Belgian will be gunning for revenge after being stunned by Davenport at the same stage in Roland Garros last month.
"I've never been scared... (but) I know it's a possible match up with Kim, I have not looked past that," said the 29-year-old.
"It's tough to look past the first few rounds and tough to look past a player of Kim's stature."
