The Trump family visited the Taj Mahal during the US President's visit to India. Following the mega 'Namaste Trump' event in Ahmedabad, Donald Trump and his wife flew to Agra in Uttar Pradesh. They were received there by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel and the US Ambassador Kenneth Juster. The President's daughter Ivanka Trump was also present at the airport. Then the Trumps proceeded to the Taj Mahal along a heavily decorated route along which more dancers depicted India's varied culture. Finally, the Trumps took a guided tour of the Mughal monument and also posed in front of one of the seven wonders of the world.

Ivanka Trump, daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, commented on the event held in the latter's honour in Ahmedabad. The 'Namaste Trump' event was organised at the Motera stadium, billed as the largest cricket stadium in the world. Hundreds of the people attended the programme. Ivanka called it 'spectacular'. During his speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had directly addressed Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner. PM Modi had welcomed Ivanka back to India, referring to her standalone visit in 2017.

Beautification work is underway in the cities that the President of the United States of America is expected to visit during his two-day trip. The Sarai Khwaja Bridge in Uttar Pradesh's Agra is being renovated ahead of Donald Trump's expected visit. Agra Public Works Department has removed encroachments and is overseeing the application of a fresh coat of paint. Similar scenes were visible in other parts of Agra, as well as Gujarat's Ahmedabad. Trump will be arriving directly in Ahmedabad from Washington. Meanwhile, former Foreign Secretary of India, Shashank, said that the trip is very important.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat's Ahmedabad to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi. The Ashram was home to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi for over a decade. PM paid a tribute to Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary. He also took a tour of the Ashram and interacted with volunteers.
