Centre revises package rates under CGHS

According to an official statement, while out patient department (OPD) rates were increased from ₹150 to ₹350, in patient department (IPD) consultation fees were raised to ₹350.

There was also a revision in the hospital room rent. The rent of a general room was increased to <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>1,500 from <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>1,000 and that of a semi-private ward to <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>3,000 from <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>2,000; the rent of a private room was increased from <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>3,000 to <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>4,500. Centre rejects viral claim on linking CGHS with Ayushman Bharat Health account

The CGHS is the scheme which provides healthcare facilities for the central government employees and pensioners and their dependence in CGHS-covered cities.

Ayushman Bharat hospitals may soon treat CGHS beneficiaries

CGHS largely caters to the Central government employees, both serving and retired. There are close to 4.1 million beneficiaries registered under the scheme, and 2,000 hospitals and diagnostic centres are empanelled across the country.

CGHS and AB-PMJAY are two separate health insurance schemes run by the government.
