Cyclone Asani: Rain lashes parts of Andhra's Kakinada, see pics inside

The severe Cyclonic Storm 'Asani' weakened into a 'cyclonic storm' and is likely to become a depression by Thursday morning, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. Rain lashed parts of the Kakinada district in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday morning.

NDRF teams deployed as heavy rains lash Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Cyclone Asani is likely to intensify into a deep depression during the next 24 hours in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the India Meteorological Department said in a tweet. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel have been deployed and are ready at different places with all necessary equipments to carry out search and rescue operations.
