L-G seeks report on water shortage from Delhi Jal Board

Water supply to Capital hit but Covid hospitals spared

In a statement released on Thursday, the DJB said the water production at the Wazirabad, Okhla and Chandrawal water treatment plants was hit because Haryana was not releasing the requisite amount of water to Delhi.

Water supply to be affected for 3 days in various parts of Delhi

  • DJB vice-chairman Raghav Chadha on Saturday said the depleting water levels in the Yamuna is leading to a shortage of drinking water in several parts of Delhi, and may also affect hospitals in the city in the coming days.

Tenders to revive 200 more water bodies to be floated by next month

NGT directs Delhi Jal Board to ensure supply of treated water in public parks

"The DJB may ensure supply of such treated water with adequate pressure and wherever piped supply is not available, supply may be ensured by tankers," the bench said.

Metropolitan Magistrate Gajender Singh Nagar asked the SHO of the police station concerned to file the report and posted the matter for further hearing on February 15.

Water waiver scheme by Delhi govt extended till March-end

Under the scheme, launched in August last year, all categories of houses get an exemption from late fee payments, while their pending water bills are waived partly or fully depending on the housing category.

Fix timelines for 24x7 water supply project: Kejriwal

A total of 580 unauthorised and authorised colonies have been included in the water project, out of which 517 colonies have been connected with the pipeline network. The DJB said the remaining colonies will be connected by December 2021.
