Rainfall activities to be subdued in Pune till Sept 13

Pune and other areas in the state of Maharashtra will experience reduced rainfall in the coming days due to unfavorable weather conditions, according to the India Meteorological Department. Pune currently has a 12% rainfall deficit, but experienced a short-term revival of active monsoon conditions that helped cover a 5% rainfall deficit in the last 48 hours. However, the absence of strong rainfall is creating a deficit between actual and normal rainfall. The reduction in rainfall activities is expected to continue until September 13.

In the last 48 hours, ghat areas including Mulshi, Tamhini, Lonavla, and Bhor have experienced moderate to heavy rainfall. (KALPESH NUKTE/ HT PHOTO)
