Normal life disrupted as heavy rains lash southern Indian states

Incessant rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerela and Andhra Pradesh has disrupted normal life of the people of the states. Crops have been damaged, buildings collapsed, several humans and animals have lost their lives as floods battered these south Indian states.

Kerala Rain: Heavy rains create havoc in state, IMD issues 'Yellow Alert' 

A total of 11 teams of the National Disaster Relief Teams (NDRF) have been deployed to the state in coordination with the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA). Earlier today, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a 'Yellow Alert' in 11 districts of Kerala for heavy rainfall.
