Rs 4,807 cr deposited in accounts of over 7 lakh Maharashtra farmers, says CM Uddhav Thackeray

Thackeray said that 35.8 lakh farmer accounts have been uploaded on a special portal created for the implementation of the loan waiver scheme.

10 states yet to fulfil their farm loan waiver promise

These states have so far managed to make budgetary provisions for less than two-thirds of the total loans supposed to be waived, a review by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) shows.

Farmers need their dues, not doles from the treasury

The socialist State has intentionally and systematically caused farm-bankruptcy. The land-locked farmer is not a free citizen of India

Farmers should enjoy access to any technology including GM in markets. Any ‘waiver’ must be embedded in liberal reforms of agrarian political-economy.(HT File)
