Lufthansa to operate 10 weekly flights in India, Air India will operate 7 in Germany

International flights: India-Germany flights to start from October 26 after brief suspension of air bubble

After the aforementioned Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s (DGCA)decision that led to cancellation of Lufthansa’s flights, Air India was forced to cancel all Frankfurt flights till October 14 as Germany withdrew permission for them.

Lufthansa cancels India-Germany flights till Oct 20 after dispute with Centre

Lufthansa airlines on Tuesday said that it will not be operating any flights between India and Germany scheduled from September 30th till October 20th as the dispute with Centre deepens.

Lufthansa plans compulsory lay-offs as forecasts travel slump to 2024

Lufthansa put German workers on notice of compulsory lay-offs on Thursday, saying tumbling air travel and slow progress in union negotiations meant cuts were unavoidable after it lost 1.7 billion euros ($2 billion) in a single quarter.
The German airline, which secured a 9 billion euro state bailout in June, flew just 4% of prior-year passengers between April and June as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and expects capacity to increase to only around 50% by the end of the year and two-thirds of last year’s level in 2021.(File photo for representation)

Covid-19: Lufthansa to exit Germany’s benchmark stock index

Deutsche Lufthansa AG will be replaced by real estate company Deutsche Wohnen AG in the DAX Index, Deutsche Boerse said in a statement Thursday night. The change will come into effect June 22.

Lufthansa to ground 150 planes due to coronavirus

The company said the move was equivalent to grounding 150 aircraft, with around sixth of the capacity cuts related to long-haul flights. Lufthansa Group, which includes Swiss, Brussels and Austrian Airlines, has a total fleet of 770 aircraft.
