Three city beaches to get a makeover
The proposal for the makeover of the three beaches in Madh Island was cleared by the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) in a meeting, held on March 8, minutes of which were recently released. The environmentalists, however, are upset with the proposal to construct protection walls at these beaches as they believe this will only cause more damage to the beaches and the sand there.
