Unidentified persons attack Moga cop, flee with service revolver

The accused fled from the spot after injuring head constable Satnam Singh. Satnam was rushed to a hospital by a passerby, and his condition is said to be stable.

The police have registered an FIR on the complaint of Satnam’s father and started the investigation. Police are looking at the CCTV footage of the surrounding areas to identify the accused.

1.6 tonnes of ‘adulterated’ sweets seized in Moga

Sarpanch’s murder: Old enmity led to murder, five held, says Moga cops

Khosa Kotla village sarpanch Veer Singh, a member of the Congress party, and a panch Ranjeet Singh were shot dead in the clash between two rival groups on Friday morning

The accused were identified as Gurcharan Singh, Gurdeep Singh, former sarpanch Jagraj Singh, Ranjit Singh and Baljit Singh, all residents of Khosa Kotla village. Police also recovered Gurcharan’s .32-bore licensed pistol, which was used in the crime
