Four heavily armed Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed on November 19 in Nagrota in a swift operation by the security forces.

India briefs select group of envoys on attempted attack in Nagrota by JeM

The envoys were briefed on how the terrorists sneaked into India through an underground tunnel in Samba sector, and how preliminary investigations by police and intelligence agencies and markings on AK-47 rifles and other items have led India to conclude the terrorists belonged to Pakistan-based JeM.

PM Modi held a review meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla and top intelligence establishment over the Nagrota encounter. It has been found that the terrorists were planning a “major attack” on the anniversary of the 26/11 terror attack.

Two policemen of the Special Operations Group were injured in the exchange of fire, the officials said. The encounter broke out at around 4.50 am at Ban toll plaza on the Jammu-Srinagar highway following specific input, Jammu zone inspector general of police Mukesh Singh said.
