UK variant could be behind current Covid-19 surge in Delhi, says NCDC chief

In Delhi, there are primarily two types of variants -- B.1.617 and the UK strain -- found in the genome sequenced samples, the NCDC director said.

Submit report on sero-study in Delhi by July 16, orders HC

The court’s direction came after the Delhi government additional standing counsel Satyakam submitted that they had collected 21,793 antibody samples from Delhi from June 27 to July 5 and had sent these to NCDC, which had not given the Covid-19 results to date.

Doctor, part of central team in Patna to check dengue spread, is now a patient

Delhi records 3,500 cases of swine flu this year, highest since 2010

At 21, the death toll from swine flu in Delhi this year (till March 24) is already the highest since 2010 when the H1N1 virus infection killed 77 in the entire year, according to data from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

2,500 swine flu cases in just a week: NCDC

More than 2,500 cases of seasonal influenza (H1N1), also known as swine flu, were recorded in just one week in India, between February 24 and March 3, according to a report by the National Centre for Disease Control.

58-year-old woman first casualty of swine flu in Gurugram district

According to officials of the district health department, the woman was admitted on January 4 in a private hospital in the city with shortness of breath, a typical symptom of the influenza. She died later due to further complications.

NCDC sanctions Rs 5000 crore to Rajasthan for farm loan waiver
