Chaos at New Delhi Railway Station as Maha Kumbh-bound crowd triggers stampede

In an official statement, the deputy commissioner of police (railways) said platform 14 was already overcrowded when the Prayagraj Express was stationed there for departure. The situation worsened as Swatantra Senani Express and Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express were delayed, adding to the crowd on platforms 12, 13, and 14.
