Monsoon hits Rajasthan, covers 14 districts on Day 1

Monsoon has covered districts in western and eastern parts of the state. These include Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sirohi, Rajsamand, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Jhalwara, Kota, Bundi and Baran.

Four more deaths, 154 fresh Covid-19 cases in Rajasthan

Of the fresh cases, 59 were from Dholpur, followed by 31 from Jaipur, 22 from Jhunjhunu, 12 from Alwar, nine from Sikar, five each from Dungarpur and Bhilwara, three from Rajsamand, two each Nagaur and Udaipur, one from Churu besides a patient from other state, according to an official report here.

Four killed, 22 injured as bus overturns in Rajasthan

The bus was shifted with the help of a crane and the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital in Deogarh town. Of the 22 injured, including driver, eight were critical and were undergoing treatment.

Lok Sabha elections 2019: Record turnout in Rajasthan despite scorching temperatures

Rajasthan chief electoral officer Anand Kumar said the turnout was highest in any Lok Sabha election in the state.
Polling was largely peaceful with three incidents of clashes between groups in Jalore and Barmer. Glitches in EVMs and the Voter-Verified Paper Audit Trail were reported from some places, leading to replacement of 49 EVMs and 305 VVPAT machines.

Rajasthan assembly election 2018: Afrazul Khan, a migrant worker from Bengal, was hacked and burnt to death by Shambhulal Regar, a local marble trader, in Rajsamand, about 68 km from Udaipur, on December 6 last year.
