Delhiwale: Confessions of a Piano Man

An accomplished pianist, the enterprising Arjun Sagar Gupta, 35, is best known for giving the National Capital Region new opportunities to experience live jazz. He opened his first music venue, the Piano Man Jazz Club, in Delhi’s Safdarjung Enclave in 2015, and the second the previous year in Gurugram’s Sector 15.
“I spent a bulk of my time in the lockdown practising a new instrument, trumpet, and interviewing and live-streaming musicians from all over the world,” he says, chatting from his home in Vasant Vihar.

Delhi Minorities Commission chairman booked under sedition charges

The FIR was filed on the complaint of a Vasant Kunj resident. The complaint reached the Lodhi Colony office of the anti-terror squad, special cell, through the assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Safdarjung Enclave. HT has a copy of the FIR.

Woman attempts to kidnap infant at knifepoint, foiled by grandmother

According to Akshay Mittal, who owns a department store and lives in Arjun Nagar, the victim was his 58-year-old mother Anita Mittal and his infant daughter. Mittal said that the incident took place around noon when he, his father and his wife had gone to his grandmother’s house nearby, leaving behind Anita and his daughter with the domestic help.
