Gurpurb celebrations at Nankana Sahib: SGPC objects to denial of Pakistan visa to half of pilgrims

Out of the 1,684 passports sent to the Pakistan embassy in New Delhi for visa approval, only 788 applicants were not granted the pilgrimage visa under bilateral protocol.

Will write to foreign minister over ‘maryada violation’, says SGPC on Kartarpur event

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has condemned the alleged violation of conduct during a party near Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Pakistan. A video surfaced online showing a dance party organised by the Kartarpur Project Management Unit on the premises of the gurdwara. The authorities denied the allegations of alcohol and non-vegetarian food being served at the party, stating that the viral video was doctored. The SGPC also announced that it will take legal action against a social media platform for allowing a fake account in its name to spread hate propaganda against Sikhs.
