Cop saves couple who were about to fall from running train at Tirupati station

The constable observed that a lady passenger was trying to get down from D2 coach. The constable alerted her not to get down but she did not pay heed. She and her husband almost fell from the train.

The body was that of a 50-year old man, a resident of a village on the outskirts of Tirupati, who was admitted to state-run Sri Venkateshwara Ram Narayan Ruia Hospitals last week. He died of Covid-19 on Monday.

New Year revelry claims three lives in Andhra’s Nellore

Four youngsters from Jeevakonda village near Tirupati had arrived at Tupilipalem, about 150 km away from home, on Tuesday night to celebrate the New Year on the beachside. Three of them were swept away by huge waves when they went swimming in the sea in the early hours of Wednesday. Locals saved the fourth youth.
