Kanpur realtor had injuries on skull, limbs: Post-mortem report

The businessman suffered “swelling of 4×5 cm in the middle of forehead, cut and hematoma (blood clot) in the upper eyelid of the right eye” and showed “marks of deep muscles injury on right arm above elbow and on right forearm”, the report, reviewed by HT, said.

Thirty-six-year-old Manish Gupta, a resident of Kanpur, on Monday died under mysterious circumstances during a police raid at a city hotel where he was staying with two friends from Gurugram.

Man dies after police ‘raid’ at Gorakhpur hotel, 6 cops suspended

  • Gorakhpur police said the man, identified as 36-year-old Manish Gupta, slipped during the routine police checking and injured himself. However, one of Gupta’s friends, Hardeep Singh Chauhan, who was staying with him in the hotel, alleged police brutally thrashed Gupta.
