Wadhawan brothers’ plea to make video calls to family rejected

A special court in Mumbai has rejected a plea by DHFL promoters Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan to allow them to video conference with their family members twice a day. The Wadhawan brothers are currently in jail in connection with a bank loan scam case. The court stated that allowing video calls would interfere with jail administration and hamper further investigation.

Family of three from Jind stuck in strife-hit Sudan

Aman Gupta, 31, who is stuck in the strife-hit city, with his wife Dixita Gupta, 29, and two-year-old daughter, in a video conference with the Hindustan Times Correspondent revealed that they are cooped up inside their house amid a constant threat of bombings and firing.

Himachal Pradesh records 108 Covid cases, 1 death

The death count in Himachal Pradesh has reached 4,198 after a 19-year-old woman patient succumbed to Covid in Mandi

The highest 29 cases of Covid were reported from Hamirpur followed by 25 from Kangra, 15 from Mandi, 10 each from Bilaspur and Chamba in Himachal Pradesh. (HT File Photo)

Video conferencing app Zoom to launch its email service: Report

According to the report, the service could be called Zmail and Zcal respectively. The app development is underway for the past two years and are expected to be announced during the company's Zoomtopia conference in November this year
