A Hyderabad-based AI engineer has shared his experience of working at a company where he says language became a barrier to his professional growth. He claimed that most of his colleagues spoke Hindi, Bengali or Bangla, while he was not comfortable speaking or understanding Hindi. The engineer, who said he has three years of experience in AI engineering, shared his account on Reddit. He claimed that he joined a North India-based company as a Senior AI/ML Engineer and initially enjoyed working on architectures, large language models and other AI projects.

He claimed that another developer was brought in to work on the project and that he helped the colleague with prompts. The engineer alleged that the colleague later presented his work to the VP as his own.
