A TikTok mom named Samantha Head, known online as Sammie Head, is under fire after she posted a video with the caption “When your only son that you don't like tries to lay down on you,” showing her recoiling from her infant. Her satirical take on motherhood sparked child safety fears amid Lindsay Clancy’s trial.

“No hyperbole, if you post things like this, full custody should go to the father immediately!” one X user wrote, reposting the video.

X shared a community note for Sammie’s video, saying, “The video is a satirical comedy skit by creator Sammie Head, not a genuine post by a mother rejecting her child.” However, Netizens still condemned the content as distasteful with Lindsay’s trial underway.
Who is Sammie Head?
Head is a popular TikTok creator and stay-at-home mom of five from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Her video is facing backlash amid Lindsay’s trial and several other moms using the tragedy to create content. Head, however, did not mention Lindsay or the case anywhere in her video.
Lindsay, a Massachusetts mother, is facing three counts of murder in the killings of her children Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months.
Earlier, TikTok videos of women crying with infants cradled in their arms drew backlash. The videos showed women rocking infants or toddlers with on-screen text like “same, Lindsay” overlaid on excerpts from Clancy's writings about her struggles with anxiety, depression, and despair as a parent.
Critics condemned the videos, labeling the tears staged and the content exploitative, raising alarms about glamorizing filicide. Calls have grown to avoid the recreation of the tragic case.
Social media videos of mothers throwing water at their children also triggered outrage on X. In the videos, women were seen sitting with infants on their laps and splashing water at them from a cup or a bottle.
