A real dead body halted filming of a scene involving a fake dead body on BBC serial killer show

A real dead body disrupted shooting of BBC serial killer drama, Rellik. The crew - which had arrived to shoot their own scene involving a dead body - was told to leave.

A real dead body was found on the sets of British serial killer show, Rellik. One of the cast members recounted the story of how the crew - scheduled to shoot a scene that involved a dead body - was turned away by the cops.

Rellik is a six-part BBC serial killer drama.

Paterson Joseph, who plays a psychiatrist on the six-episode drama, told The Mirror: “The crew arrived to film their own dead body and the police told them they weren’t able to, because they’d found a real dead body. It was bizarre, fact being stranger than fiction.”

This isn’t the only coincidence to have happened on the show. “There were a lot of strange coincidences. Richard (Dormer) who plays our main character, getting impetigo and his face being covered in blotches and blemishes.”

Dormer’s character suffered an acid attack in the show, around the same time that a wave of similar attacks were reported in the UK.

“Then there were the acid attacks which happened at the same time as we were filming ours. It’s a strange show when it brings out these coincidences,” Joseph said.
