The Guddu Rangeela star took to Twitter to share the news of his hosting gig, which saw Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Tabu promoting their film Drishyam.

"OMG.. Had an Awesome time with Ajay D, Tabu & Shriya Saran at Comedy Night's with Kapil. I hosted the show, hope you like it," he posted on Twitter.

Kapil, who is making his Bollywood debut with Abbas-Mustan's Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, is likely to remain out of action for a couple of weeks to recuperate from a slip disc.

His last stint, before he goes on rest, will be with Salman Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui for Bajrangi Bhaijaan this weekend.

The standup comedian came into the spotlight with this unique comedy show in 2013 and since then he has been continuously shooting for it without any break.

He also travelled to Dubai to shoot a special series for his comedy show and is scheduled to travel across the US and Canada for live shows at the end of this month.

Names like Arjun Kapoor, Karan Johar and Sajid Khan were thrown around before Warsi was finalised as the host.
