Bigg Boss 8: Praneet Bhatt is the new captain

Bigg Boss asks housemates to chose two contenders to challenge Dimpy, for captaincy. While Sonali is the first one to fail the task, Praneet stays till the end and is anointed the new captain.

In Friday's episode, Bigg Boss asks housemates to chose two contenders to challenge Dimpy, for captaincy. The task requires Dimpy, Praneet and Sonali to stand on platforms in front of a huge rubber ball. As each housemate hits the ball, the contenders are expected to hold their ground and keep standing. While Sonali is the first one to fall, Praneet stays till the last, and is therefore made the new captain of the house.

Upen is seen randomly shouting slogans: "Nahi jaayenge Nahi jaayenge Upen Krrrishmaa nahi jaayenge." He was was pretty convinced that at least these two buddies aren’t going home this weekend. Upen also tells Karishma, "Main iss baar ghar se bahar nahi jaaunga, abhi toh asli game shuru hua hai."

In a new task, Snapdeal – Khushiyan Manate Raho, Karishma and Sonali are made to burst balloons by sitting on them and collect the Snapdeal vouchers to redeem gifts. Karishma wins the task and redeems water heaters, water purifiers and mattresses as gifts. Later, Pritam defeats Gautam in unrolling maximum toilet paper and redeems geysers, microwave oven and a juicer mixer grinder. Upen routs Ali in a contest to put ping pong balls in the cups, and redeems a gas stove, a washing machine and blankets. All the items won during this task would be donated to Samparc Balgram Orphanage, a charitable organisation for girls.
