Jiya Thakur, 8, wins Dance India Dance Lil Masters season 4.

As the fourth season of dance reality show Dance India Dance Lil Masters came to an end on Sunday, 8-year-old Jiya Thakur was declared the winner. Jiya danced to Bom Diggy from Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety for her finale performance and impressed Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Prabhudheva, and Anil Kapoor who were all present as guests on the show.

Jiya was rewarded with a prize money of Rs 5 lakh, apart from a trophy. Hailing from Hyderabad, Jiya thanked everyone on sets for offering her a great learning experience. “DID Li’l Masters has been a great learning experience for me. It was my moment of pride when skipper Vaishnavi took me under her wings and made me a part of Vaishnavi ke Veere. During the course of the show, I have learned so much about dance and myself. One of the best moments of my life was when the dancing diva Madhuri Dixit called me ‘Choti Madhuri’. She even appreciated my performance and gave me her blessings,” the Indian Express quoted her as saying after winning the trophy.

Urva Bhavsar, Jiya Thakur, AP Rockers, Tamman Gamnu and Mann-Amit reached the top five. During their final performances, Urva danced to “Jeene na de” and “Pallu latke” while Tamman grooved to Baahubali and Dangal title tracks.

Urva Bhavsar and Tamman became first and second runners-up respectively. Both Urva and Tamman also received cash prizes.

Siddharth Anand and Marzi Pestonji, along with Chitrangada Singh began on judges panel of DID Li’l Masters season 4, but later choreographer Farah Khan replaced Chitrangada.

Farah also praised Jiya in a press statement and said, “DID Li’l Masters, this year, turned out to be a dance powerhouse and the contestants have floored me with their exceptional dance moves and extraordinary talent. I am beyond happy to see Jiya being crowned as the winner of the show. She was not only one of the best performers but my favorite contestant too. Her energy, enthusiasm and the vigour with which she performed every time on stage was truly commendable. I would like to congratulate Jiya on her win and wish her best for her future.”
