Soap queen Ekta Kapoor’s prime production, Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani, loosely inspired by the Twilight franchise, which was supposed to hit prime time on September 20, has been delayed and buzz is that Ekta Kapoor is writing it on her own.

, it was pushed ahead to August 23 and then to September 20 for various reasons. One of them, it’s said, was Kapoor’s dissatisfaction with the script. The producer apparently fired 25 writers from her team and decided to write it on her own.

Jaane Pehchane Se Yeh Ajnabi
. It is now expected to go on air from October 11. It’s said that Balaji Telefilms didn’t have an episode bank for the dates. When asked, Kapoor confirms the delay and says, “The rains played havoc. We’ve been working on the show all along but the shoots continuously got disrupted because of the monsoons. Work is on in full swing now and we should be on air hopefully next month.”
The show’s shooting started a month and a half ago, with various workshops to prepare the artistes for their respective characters. The promos of

have been on air for the last four weeks. “
