Even before Simi Garewal’s chat show India’s Most Desirable goes on air on Star World, news is that the actor-TV anchor is planning to come back with another season of the show, probably with a few enhancements in the format.
“I’d love to feature Amitabh Bachchan on my show. Maybe I’ll tweak the format a bit to have him and other desirable stars like him on the show because I want to bring out their hidden fun side before the audience,” beams Simi confirming the news of season two being underway. “Besides, there are several others whom I had really wanted to feature on the show, like my dear friend Karan (filmmaker Karan Johar) but I couldn’t manage to do so because they didn’t have the dates we needed.”
The first episode of India’s Most Desirable features Ranbir Kapoor. He’s the 10th man from his family to share screen space with Simi. The nine others include his grandfather Raj Kapoor and father Rishi. "I’ve known Ranbir personally, but I’ve never interacted with him formally on a platform like this. He’s a very chilled out and fun guy. He’s well-read and knows how to put things across even if someone tries to put him in a spot," smiles Simi.
Buzz is that Ranbir wanted to re-shoot portions of his episode since he wasn’t happy with the questions posed to him by the audience. Apparently, he found them too personal to be answered on national television. “No way,” Simi quips. “He didn’t ask for a re-shoot. He’s a well-spoken guy and he had answered the questions very well. In fact, the audience asked him only three questions, as opposed to others who had more questions to face.”

Simi retorts, “Our only instruction to our college-going live audience was that they could ask the celebrity anything that is not obscene, embarrassing or below the belt. And I don’t think that’s asking too much.”
