"Hey, tell me," said the voice from the other end of the line, almost making this reporter wonder if a wrong number had been dialed. But no, Mohit Raina is just the guy-next-door - far from the godly image that he'd been portraying on screen so far. "I'm feeling numb," said the 32-year-old in a light vein, when asked how he felt after his show Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev wrapped up after a three-year run, last night. "I don't know how to express my exact feelings, but yes, it's been a life-changing experience over the past three years," said the Jammu boy, who turned a rage on-screen playing the character of Lord Shiva, making millions swoon over his sculpted muscles and mystic eyes. Relaxed and all set for a much-deserved vacation, Raina got chatty with us about love, life and plans ahead. Excerpts:

Was it a deliberate effort to stay inaccessible so far just to mystify your character a little more?
I often requested my designer to make a pocket in Shiva's costume, where I can keep my phone (laughs). Jokes apart, it was a big responsibility to play that character. You can't be on your phone, and then be giving a serious take with those intense dialogues the next minute.
What plans now?
First I'll be going home (Jammu), spend time with my family and friends... it's been ages that I got to spend time with them. I want to go for a long vacation. I won't be thinking about work for a while.
You have never spoken about your relationship with Mouni Roy.
If there's anything, I'll definitely talk about it but only when the right time comes. I know people want to know about me as I am a public figure, but there are certain things I'd like to keep private.
What's your idea of a perfect date?
Well, more than what and where, it's more about being with the person you connect with. It could be on my roof-top enjoying a kullhad ki chai or just going on a long drive from Kanyakumari to Bihar or travelling a sleeper class or vacationing in Greece!
