I worked on my flaws after my last show: Humsafars star Shivya

Actor Shivya Pathania says that she utilised the time between her two shows to learn voice modulation and took lessons in dancing.

Actor Shivya Pathania, who made her debut with the show Humsafars, says that she took time out to improve on her acting abilities before taking on the new show Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka. “Everyone thought that I was not doing anything, but I was working on my flaws. I learnt dancing, took voice modulation classes. I think you need to be consistent and hard working in this industry,” says Shivya.

Actor Shivya Pathania says that it’s important to be consistent to achieve success in the industry.

Talking about her role, Shivya says that she decided to take it up as it was very different from her earlier character. “I am excited about this role because it is different. I wanted to play something which was in no way similar to my role in Hamsafars and I am happy I got this opportunity. I will always make sure to take up roles which are different,” she says.

Although there are many actors moving into the reality space, Shivya says that she wants to stay away from these shows for the time being. “I want to prove myself as an actor first, which I can do through fiction shows. This is why I don’t want to take up reality shows,” she says. Shivya feels that since she is new in the industry, she wants to stick to one show at a time. “As of now I want to do only one show at a time. I want to give my all to this show at the moment and focus my energy here,” she says.
