Singer-actor Jennifer Lopez’s new show, The Fosters, has drawn the ire of a million moms, as it features a lesbian couple raising kids. The ABC family drama doesn’t have a cast yet to finish its pilot episode. The show, produced by Lopez, and created by Bradley Bredeweg and Queer As Folk star Peter Paige, is being called “anti-family” by the watchdog group, the New York Post reported.

“A premiere date has not been set, but One Million Moms wanted to sound the alarm about this new series. It will be airing on the network soon unless we do something about it. They are in the beginning stages,” the organisation wrote on their website in an effort to stop the show from being broadcast. “ABC Family reported the comedy-drama pilot, working with the title The Fosters, is about two women raising a 21st century, multi-ethnic mix of foster and biological kids.

The watchdog has urged its supporters to e-mail ABC Family in protest and to encourage advertisers to pull commercials from the network.
