Lata Mangeshkar, like several other Kapil Sharma fans, has expressed her disappointment at not being able to watch his comedy show anymore. The singer hoped Sharma would get well soon and return with his show.
In an interview to DNA, Mangeshkar talked about how Kapil made the audience laugh with his show. “He brought so much happiness and laughter into every home. It’s truly disappointing to hear that his show is no longer going to be telecast. I wish him a quick recovery and I hope the show returns soon,” she said.
Kapil Sharma reacted to her kind words by saying “I want Lata didi to know that the show is coming back stronger than ever. I am here at an Ayurvedic clinic for 40 days of healing. I am already feeling the change in me. I promise I will come back stronger than ever.” The comedian also addressed reports of his healths in the media. “They talk about my health like qualified doctors. I am supposed to have gone mad. I want all my well wishers to know that there is nothing other than overwork that is wrong with me. I needed a break. God has given me one.”
The actor’s show has been taken off air due to his ill health. Several actors like Ajay Devgn, Shah Rukh Khan and their crew had to return from the sets when Kapil failed to turn up for shoot.
Sony Entertainment channel, which telecasts the show, has decided to take a break from airing fresh episodes till Kapil recovers completely.
“Kapil has been under the weather for sometime now. Due to this, we have mutually agreed to take a short break. However, once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery,” an official spokesperson from the channel told HT City in August.
