Actor Harsh Chhaya was dragged into a controversy over his unprofessional and high-handed behaviour with his team members after their elimination from Comedy Circus on Sony. Actors Jimmy Moses and Tina Dutta claimed that his poor performance was the sole reason for their ouster from the show. The other problem was his king-sized ego and his refusal to rehearse, which led to a rift between them.

Chhaya retaliates, “The person who’s accusing me of being a ‘bad performer’ had forgotten his lines in the middle of the show, and I had to prompt them to him. We were good in some episodes and not so good in others. Things didn’t work in our favour on the day we were eliminated. So we lost. There was no need to take this stance. Tina is a new kid on the block, but Jimmy’s behaviour is strange.”

“It’s disturbing that my teammates should talk like this about me. I wish they hadn’t done something so petty. It was a competition but it was also meant to be fun,” the actor adds.
