In a bid to tap the huge popularity and influence of Indian cinema, a new Bollywood Star hunt has kicked off in Australia.

The winner of the new reality show that was launched on Saturday, will bag a role in a Mahesh Bhatt film.
The show has been divided in four part series and has been made for SBS TV by WTFN Entertainment.
The panelist is led by a renowned Bollywood filmmaker Anupam Sharma, photographer Raj Suri and choreographer Deepthi Patil.
Hundreds of aspiring Bollywood stars flooded for the auditions in the hope of becoming a star. Of them six finalists will be selected and will go to Mumbai, where they will be trained by Bollywood veterans.
A British version of Bollywood Star was aired in UK on Channel 4 in 2004 and was won by Rupak Mann, who bagged a role in Bhatt's 2005 thriller Nazar.
