Sonali offered fitness show

Actor-turned-host approached to anchor her fourth television series, a health-based reality show.

Clearly, Sonali Bendre is on a roll on Indian television. Possibly the first Bollywood star to jump onto the reality television bandwagon (Kya Masti Kya Dhoom…! in 2001), Sonali has been approached by a top Hindi entertainment channel for a fitness show. Already, the actor is revelling in the success of her current TV show, India’s Got Talent.

The actor, though, is busy with India’s Got Talent, and is still considering the offer given her prior commitments and preference for taking up a limited amount of work. If Sonali takes up the new offer, she will join other actors such as Bipasha Basu and Shilpa Shetty, who are also doling out fitness advices through their own DVDs.

“Sonali has been approached for a fitness based reality show. The makers felt she fits the bill as she has been someone who, over the years, has only grown fitter by the day. Right now, she is looking into the concept and details of the show,” says a source close to Sonali. When contacted, the actor confirmed: “Yes, I am considering getting on board the show, but I’m still figuring out the concept and other details. It has to be something that is perfect for all kinds of audiences to watch. On the other hand, fitness for me is a way of life, so I’m very excited about the venture.”
