TV stars recreate Bollywood magic

TV stars Gaurav Chopra and Ragini Khanna paid a tribute to iconic Bollywood couple, Anil Kapoor and Sridevi, at a telly awards do recently. The duo performed on songs such as Naam Mera Prem Kali, Mere Haathon Mein Nau Nau Chudiya Hai, and Aye Ji O Ji at the Gold Awards.

Both Gaurav and Ragini were excited about paying a tribute to their favourite stars. “We’ve all loved Sridevi for her beauty, grace, a flair for comedy and sheer charisma. Her style is totally inimitable and it’s been a challenge for me to pay her a tribute. This is my way of showing her my love and respect. Gaurav and I have watched so many of their songs to re-create their aura,” says Ragini.

Talking about his experience, Gaurav says, “As kids, most guys have tried Anil Kapoor’s unique Aye Ji O Ji style just for fun … and I’m no exception. So rehearsing for the Anil-Sri was like revisiting my school days when we’d dance to these hit numbers.”
