Huma Qureshi, who is playing a pivotal role in director Gurinder Chadha’s next, will be sharing screen space with American actor Gillian Anderson and English actor Hugh Bonneville.

The film also stars Manish Dayal of The Hundred Foot Journey (2014) fame, and international actors like Sir Michael Gambon and Lily Travers.
The story of the film revolves around Lord Mountbatten’s last tenure in India, and will see Hugh essay the protagonist’s part. Gillian will play the role of Lady Mountbatten.
An insider says, “The principal photography for the film started on August 30. The unit will shoot for eight weeks in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, starting this weekend.”
Gillian will be sharing the screen space with Huma Qureshi.
Apparently, Gurinder has bought the rights to two books — Narinder Singh Sarla’s The Shadow Of The Great Game and Larry Colins and Dominiue Lapierre’s Freedom At Midnight — to script this film.
The spokesperson of the distribution company that is backing the film in India confirmed the news.
