A series of mysterious earthquakes struck near the Tonopah Test Range, often dubbed “Area 52,” in Nevada on March 3, days after tremors jolted Iran’s Gerash region. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, 16 quakes above 2.5 magnitude were recorded near the remote military site, with over 100 seismic events reported within a 50-mile radius in a week. The area is reportedly used for sensitive U.S. military and nuclear-related research, fuelling online speculation. The tremors come amid escalating conflict involving the U.S., Israel and Iran, after strikes on February 28 and subsequent retaliatory attacks across the Middle East heightened regional tensions.
