Delhi: Long voter queues at Shaheen Bagh, tight security at CAA protest hub
Updated on Feb 24, 2020 09:01 am IST
Long voter queues were seen in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area. The locality has been a site of round-the-clock protests against the recent Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, and a proposed National Register of Citizens. The five polling stations in the area have been declared critical, especially in light of shots being fired near the protest site on February 1, 2020. Shaheen Bagh featured prominently in the Bharatiya Janata Party's campaign.
