Distressed airline Jet Airways (India) Ltd. finally halted its entire operations from Wednesday night after its want for emergency funds got rejected by its lenders. In a video discussion with Mint's Associate Editor Shrija Agrawal, the experts discuss what went wrong at Jet Airways, also adding what is the way forward. According to Jitendra Bhargava, Aviation Expert and former Executive Director at Air India, there were enough alarm bells ringing and the promoter founder Naresh Goyal chose to ignore them. On the other hand, Manish Agarwal posited that airlines sector in India still remains one of the fastest growing sectors in India and that there will be efficient and inefficient players.
