BJP’s ‘tukde’ charge at Shaheen Bagh vs Yashwant Sinha’s ‘drama’ jibe on CAA
Updated on Mar 19, 2020 01:47 am IST
Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad targeted the protests at Delhi's Shaheen Bagh, while ex-central minister Yashwant Sinha slammed the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019. Prasad, who holds the Law and Justice, Communications, and Electronics and Information Technology portfolios, claimed that Shaheen Bagh was providing a stage to those who want to break India. Meanwhile, Sinha clarified that the earlier Citizenship law had empowered the government to give citizenship to anyone it wanted, including persecuted people, and so the new law was not needed.
