Mamata announces Rs 5 lakh compensation for families of those killed in Mangaluru

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakhs for the families of those killed in Mangaluru violence. The announcement came at a rally organised by the West Bengal Chief Minister while protesting against Citizenship Amendment Act. At least two people were killed in violence during a protest in Mangaluru. “We will do this to show solodarity with the families,” Mamata said. The rally was organised from Rajabazar to Mallick Bazar.
