‘Won’t tolerate universities turning into hub of politics’: HRD Minister

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has said warned students against turning universities into hub of politics. He said that the Modi government will never tolerate this and added that such an attempt is being made in West Bengal. His comments come amid protests in several universities against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Students from Jamia Millia Islamia, JNUAligarh Muslim University, Maulana Azad University, Jadavpur and several other universities have taken part in protests against the contentious Act.
